Dr. Saundra Kennedy Joins Our Sunday Visitor Curriculum Team

HUNTINGTON, Indiana, June 9, 2014 – Saundra Kennedy Ed. D., a highly respected veteran of religious education and catechesis, has joined Our Sunday Visitor Publishing as Senior National Curriculum Consultant effective immediately.

“My passion for making a difference in Church ministry led me to Our Sunday Visitor,” Dr. Kennedy said. “Our Sunday Visitor and its brand new catechetical series Alive in Christ represent the future of catechesis and religious education in Catholic schools and parishes. I couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter of my career.”

As a Catholic school teacher, Dr. Kennedy taught at all levels including elementary, junior high and high school. Most recently, Dr. Kennedy served as the National Religion Consultant for William H. Sadlier Publishing Company, traveling nationwide as a keynote speaker, and serving the needs of Catholic schools and parishes.

Dr. Kennedy will be playing a similar role for Our Sunday Visitor, as she joins fellow national consultants Joseph White, PhD, Jo Ann Paradise, PhD, and Hosffman Ospino, PhD. Together, this team represents one of the most respected and experienced cadre of national consultants in the Catholic marketplace with experience as teachers on all levels, directors of religious education, diocesan leadership, child psychology, and university level research and development. This team contributed significantly to Our Sunday Visitor's recently released parish and school religion series, Alive in Christ for grades 1-8.

"Our Sunday Visitor has a long history of leadership in the areas of parish resources, religion curriculum, family catechesis, catechist and teacher resources, sacramental preparation and adult faith formation," said Greg Erlandson, President and Publisher of Our Sunday Visitor. "Dr. Kennedy's addition to the curriculum team will further extend Our Sunday Visitor’s ability to connect with and support parishes, schools, dioceses and organizations across the country."

"I am humbled and excited to join this talented team of passionate and devoted staff," said Dr. Kennedy. "I look forward to continuing to help make a difference in schools and parishes in this new role."

Dr. Kennedy is available for keynote presentations and conference workshops effective immediately, as are the other national consultants. To schedule Dr. Kennedy for a keynote presentation, contact John Christensen at jchristensen@osv.com or Saundra Kennedy directly at skennedy@osv.com.
