Updated Catholic content and new form builder enhance parishioner and staff experience

HUNTINGTON, IN - Our Sunday Visitor Offertory  Solutions is updating the Catholic content provided through its popular Faith In Action website offering, and making significant enhancements to the Radius Web Tools content management system. The updates address the demand for pertinent and timely information to help Catholic families through the updated content while also introducing new functionality for website administrators.

New and updated Catholic content

All Faith in Action website users will see new Pope Francis Reflections syndicated content as well as updates and changes to existing syndicated content feeds. The enhancements are a response to the changing needs of parishes across the country, with focus on reflection, prayer and discipleship.

"We are thrilled to offer our new syndication feeds, especially the Pope Francis Reflections. This section will help readers grow in faith with a daily quote and reflection from Pope Francis," says Beth McNamara, General Manager of Our Sunday Visitor Curriculum. "The current Faith in Action syndications have been updated with fresh and timely content ranging from Daily Readings and Prayer to Family Living. We know that developing an engaged church requires deeper spirituality. Parishes throughout the country have been asking for materials that strengthen Catholic family life, deepen prayer and inspire daily Catholic living. With our new syndication feeds, we are delivering information that will evangelize and renew people's faith, fueling a life of discipleship," she said.

Users will also see changes to the look and optional location of the buttons to access the syndicated content. Buttons are now treated as widgets which can be located in other areas of the home page and contain a few words about the current content in that section.

New form builder

Administrators can now create custom forms for their websites. The new form builder provides flexibility for parishes to customize forms to their unique needs, regardless of the complexity of the form. Accepting forms that require payments is now an option with form builder. There are several payment options, including integration with OSV's successful Online Giving system.

Howard Lotis of Sacred Heart Parish in Quincy, MA states: "You have made me one very happy man with the new form builder tool. As an early adopter of Radius Web Tools in the Archdiocese of Boston, we've been craving the ability to create forms. Now we can get to work on creating a common census registration form for the three large parishes in our newly-established collaborative."

"The new form builder will be a 'godsend' for online registrations, (for faith formation classes and events) and we also look forward to using it for surveys during our upcoming capital campaign," said Tina Flanagan, Parish Administrator for Church of the Good Shepherd/Immaculate Conception Mission Church, Schertz and Marion, TX.

Expanded Social Media

The company introduced social media sharing for Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest in the previous release. This release expands the options to include YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Flickr. With this functionality, parishes can share any content from the website content via their social network. Parishioners can also "like", "share" or "retweet" that information on their personal networks. Administrators have the option to show links to social media in the footer or in margins of the page.
